What we offer
The late Professor Bob Burden, University of Exeter, described a Thinking School as:
“an educational community in which all members share a common commitment to giving regular careful thought to everything that takes place. This will involve both students and staff learning how to think reflectively, critically and creatively, and to employing these skills and techniques in the co-construction of a meaningful curriculum and associated activities.”
In order to achieve this, a whole school approach is necessary. Teachers will need to be specially trained in the different methods to teach the skills of thinking. Each school needs to plan and develop their own pathway to become a Thinking School that suits their context. TSSA has been providing support and training to schools in order to achieve this goal for over decade by providing a variety of training and events.
All our training is CPD accredited by SACE.
